MOUNTAIN MAN MEMORIAL MARCH

MOUNTAIN MAN MEMORIAL MARCH

Saturday, April 25

The Annual Mountain Man Memorial March is a 26.2-mile march in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee which will be conducted Saturday, April 25 in Gatlinburg as a tribute to our men and women in uniform.

The Annual Mountain Man Memorial March (MMMM) is scheduled for April 25, 2020 in Gatlinburg, TN. Originally organized in 2008, the march was a personal tribute for University of Tennessee Army ROTC Cadet – 1LT Frank Walkup, a 2005 UT graduate who was killed in action in Iraq. To honor his memory, a group of Cadets from the Rocky Top Battalion marched 26.2 miles with each Cadet carrying a 35-pound rucksack to represent his sacrifice.

Color Me Mutt 5K & 1 Mile Color Walk/Run

Sat April 25 2020

Show off your "TRUE" colors at the Fifth Annual Color Me Mutt 5K! Race day is Saturday, April 25, 2020, at NASCAR SpeedPark Smoky Mountains in Sevierville, TN. All proceeds from the race will help fund Wilderwood Service Dogs, which trains service dogs for adults and children with neurological issues; and PARC Foundation, the charitable arm of NASCAr SpeedPark, which strengthens families by positively impacting its community partner organizations in Sevier County. The Color Me Mutt 5K Color Run will kick off at 8 a.m., with the 1-mile Color Fun Run/Walk and Pet Parade to follow.

The 5K Color Run will be a timed event with awards provided to the overall male and female runner and for the top three male and female finishers in these age categories: 10 & under, 11-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 and over 60. We are a pet-friendly event, but dog ownership is not a requirement to participate.

We also understand that some of our favorite four-legged friends would prefer a shorter course. If that's the case, the 1-Mile Fun Color Run/Walk is for you! Don't worry, you'll still get showered with color at different locations along the course and get the same swag bag as the 5K participants.

Both the Color Me Mutt 5K Color Run and the 1-Mile Color Fun Run/Walk are pet-friendly races!
