Start your morning at Hibernation Station sipping coffee on your private balcony and taking in the views of the Great Smoky Mountains. Spend the day hiking in the national park or checking out the numerous attractions in downtown Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Also enjoy free access to the resort’s outdoor pool and year-round Picnic Pavilion, complete with swings, a basketball hoop, and horseshoes.

Hibernation Station is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin that sleeps up to 10 people. The en-suite bedrooms are spread out, one on each floor, for maximum privacy. The master suite makes up the entire loft. It includes a king-size bed, its own bathroom and a large jetted tub. The walkway connects the master suite to a private balcony, a romantic spot to catch the sunset. Furnished with two armchairs, foot rest, and a table, the private balcony looks out onto the Smoky Mountains.

The second bedroom is on the main floor. With a king-size bed, flat-screen TV and private bathroom. The beamed ceiling and the wood-planked walls add to its rustic charm.

There's plenty of space for everyone in the great room on the main level to spend time together without feeling crowded or constricted. It has two leather sofas and a glider with matching ottoman. Watch movie on the flat-screen TV, surf the web with high-speed Wi-Fi, or curl up by the gas fireplace.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, cookware and tableware, everything you need to make breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The dining area seats six or take your meal outdoors. The main level deck features a live-edge wood counter, stools, and a gas grill.

Hibernation Station’s lower deck houses the hot tub and a bistro table for 4. Indoors, the lower level is home to the game room. The kids can hang out here, watching TV and playing at the arcade table, while the adults chat—or maybe sneak in a nap!—in the great room above. To the rear of the game room are bunk beds. The downstairs has a separate bedroom as well. Furnished with twin-over-queen bunk beds and a trundle bed, this room is great for parents who need to be in the same room as their little ones. Or you can put all the kids in here; every night will be a slumber party!

Resort Grounds
Mountain Shadows Resort features an outdoor swimming pool and an outdoor pavilion.
The Cub House
Great for wedding receptions, family reunions, corporate meetings, church retreats or any kind of social gathering. The Cub House features a full kitchen, a gas fireplace and a great room that can seat up to 40 people comfortably.
Resort Pools
One pool is located just above The Cub House cabin, and the other is located adjacent to the Resort playground and pavilion. Opening date varies but normally occurs by Memorial Day weekend. The pool closes after the Labor Day holiday weekend when cool weather arrives.

Resort Pavilion
Our guests may want to have a cookout or picnic and our outdoor Pavilion is a great place to gather under roof in a wooded setting. Registered guests can reserve the Pavilion.

Located in the Mountain Shadows Resort, 4 miles to downtown Gatlinburg & 10 mile

Visit as many attractions as you like on a daily basis and receive one admission to each of those attractions every day. Unused admissions expire daily. Expired and redeemed admissions are replenished the following day and can be used again.

The house is laid out with most spaces well used. I will say the upstairs "bedroom" is basically out to the open of the living room (curtains do provide some privacy), which can be a little awkward. The pillows were almost completely flat, and the main floor bed needs to be upgraded. The floors seemed to have not been mopped, my sons feet turned brown on the first day, but they were prompt to schedule the cleaners on the issue. Parking is a little steep but manageable. We did love the location to everything. The pool is only a short walk which was nice!

Loved this cabin. Great for our family of six.

Only disadvantage for us as older parents, we needed to be on level ground outside the cabin. However, we didn't know, or realize we were that physically challenged until we experienced it.

The cabin was very clean and had many nice features. Three decks with great views. The bedrooms were spacious and the den had a sliding barn door so our boys were able to use it as a 4th bedroom/gaming room. Having 3 bathrooms was also a nice plus. It’s a good location to gatlinburg and pigeon forge. There was only minimal scary uphill roads to get there. Parking was the only draw back. We fit 3 vehicles however other cabins vehicles were parked half on the road so it was a bit of a challenge if there was an oncoming vehicle.

The cabin was clean and the views were amazing. Perfect family get away. The owners were very organized and communicated regularly. Super easy stay.

NOTE: The parking is a bit tight for bigger cars (Ford Expedition) and steep. Keep that in mind if your travelers have limited mobility or you're bringing multiple vehicles.

My family recently stayed in Hibernation Station for a week. The cabin was very well laid out. Everyone had their own space and we were not on top of each other. Most importantly it was very clean when we arrived and I am very particular about that. Beautiful views. It is far enough from the "attraction areas" but not too far. Just enough to be very quiet when you want that. We never saw any bear. We see more at our house in NJ weekly. However, still be careful. The locked garbage containers were becoming full, there was room for one more bag. I called property manager at night and they were there early the next morning to empty it. Very responsive. Overall, we did not spend much time at the house but I would highly recommend it.

The cabin was beautiful with plenty of room for the family to spread out. The property is close to restaurants, attractions, and Harrah's casino is a short drive if the adults are looking to hit the slots. I would definitely be returning to the property soon. Matt and April are great hosts.

This cabin was great!! It met all of our stay needs and is the perfect place to be away from some of the 'touristy' stuff. Good location just 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, Food City (grocery store) just 2 minutes away. Kids enjoyed the community pool and the cabin's hot tub!!

We did have some problems once we arrived. Check in time was 4. We got there at 4:20 and housekeeping was still there cleaning. We had to sit in our car and wait for them to finish for another 25 minutes after driving over 11 hours to get there. Other than that, our stay was perfect.

We absolutely loved the cabin. The location was perfect. The farthest we had to drive was 25 mins to go do activities which isnt bad at all. The cabin it self was amazing best rental I have stayed at. The staff/owners are very respectful and respond very quick due to them working and having responsibilities as well. If there was anything I would suggest to fix would be the outdoor grill but was easy to under stand once the staff explain us out to do it. We are definitely coming back and are already planning a trip for next year to come back.

Hibernation Station was a very nice, clean, and comfortable cabin for my extended family Thanksgiving getaway. The location is awesome! The cabin is high enough to have a great view but you don’t have to drive up narrow winding roads to get there. The cabin is also 10 minutes or so from downtown Gatlinburg and less than 5 minutes from a grocery store. The cabin had a well equipped kitchen, very comfortable beds, and every we needed for our vacation. Matt and April were great to work and quick to respond to anything we asked. I highly recommend this cabin and will stay again!

Plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children. Very nice views of the mountains. Kitchen well supplied with dishes, glassware, utensils and appliances. Plenty of linens.
Customer service was responsive and exceptional. We contacted management concerning outside trash cans being full and immediately received a response and was taken care of that day. Information regarding the rental as well as the area were very helpful.
We had a wonderful time.

This was an awesome cabin and the management was very helpful. Plenty of room for a big family and fully stocked with everything we needed to cook. We had a great time even though we couldnt fully enjoy Gatlinburg due to health concerns. We will definitely be back at a later date so we can experience all that Gatlinburg has to offer!

First time staying in a cabin and this was a great first experience! Kitchen had everything you needed, comfortable stay for 10 people with a beautiful view. Be prepared for a steep hill to park on but you get used to it. Only thing I could think to complain of were all the bugs dead and alive but we plan on staying here again!! thank you for a great cabin to stay in.
