If you want to view the first parade in the nation on the Fourth of July, then be sure to come to the Midnight Parade in Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg’s parade begins at 12:00 am sharp on July 4, so you can celebrate freedom bright and early on Independence Day!

The first Independence Day Parade in the Nation marks its 43rd year by honoring military veterans. The Gatlinburg Annual 4th of July Parade steps off at midnight to the cheers of close to 100,000 spectators lining the streets of the city for this award winning event.

The second annual Smoky Mountain Bigfoot Conference will be held on July 25, 2020. America’s most experienced Bigfoot researchers and investigators will gather to share their findings and ideas with the attendees. Visitors will also be able to ask questions at a special Q&A session at the end of the event. There will be a VIP dinner experience and a hike in the Smoky Mountains in 2020 as well. Tickets must be purchased in advance. In 2019, the conference sold out with VIP tickets gone in less than 72 hours. Be sure to get your tickets as soon as possible to attend this popular event.

Celebrate America at Gatlinburg’s July 4th Fireworks Finale in Downtown Gatlinburg, Tennessee.

Join the celebration in downtown Gatlinburg to mark our nation’s “Independence Day” with a spectacular 20-minute fireworks show starting at 10:00pm. The best viewing will be the area around traffic lights #3 and #5. The 129th Army Band performs at Ripley’s Aquarium Plaza beginning at 9 p.m. and leading up to the fireworks finale. This event is designated as a Top 20 event by Southeast Tourism Society.

@ RIPLEY’S AQUARIUM OF THE SMOKIES 

Gatlinburg’s popular River Raft Regatta takes place at noon on July 4th, on the Little Pigeon River in Downtown Gatlinburg. This year’s fun-filled Fourth of July celebration in Gatlinburg will feature the always-competitive River Raft Regatta, the unmanned kind.

Anything floatable can be entered starting at 10 a.m. at the Christ in the Smokies bridge on River Road and will end at Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. There are two categories: Trash (not hand-made) and Treasure (hand-made) – awards will go to the top 3 in each category. Additionally, the “Judges Choice” award will go to the most creative “raft.” Awards will be given to the oldest and the youngest participant. Registration begins at 10 am and the race will start at 12:00 pm.

New this year, eventgoers can rent and enter rubber ducks into the competition for $2 or 3 for $5. There will be trophies for those in 1st, 2nd and 3rd in the Treasure, Duck and Most Creative Float categories.

A unique characteristic of the Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair is the fact that artisans not only make their art available for viewing and sale, but also demonstrate their special talents and skills during this show, which is recognized as one of the top 20 events in the Southern U.S. by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Tentative hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Music shows are scheduled at 12, 2 and 4 p.m. daily, 12 and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Entertainment is included in the admission cost.
