Celebrate the season during Gatlinburg Winter Magic, a beloved Smoky Mountain tradition that has illuminated the city for more than 30 years. From November through mid-February, millions of twinkling lights and beautifully designed displays brighten downtown Gatlinburg against the scenic backdrop of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Visitors can enjoy the lights while strolling through downtown or from the comfort of their vehicles. The self-guided Winter Magic Lights Tour highlights festive scenes, Appalachian-inspired decorations, holiday characters and displays celebrating the wildlife and natural beauty of the Smokies.
Download the Visit Gatlinburg app to locate displays and plan your route through town. Families can also participate in the Snowpeople Scavenger Hunt, featuring dozens of unique, life-size snowpeople located throughout downtown Gatlinburg.
