Get ready for seven days of Mustangs, horsepower, and Smoky Mountain scenery as Ponies in the Smokies returns March 21–27, 2027! This year is an especially exciting one as the popular Smoky Mountain Mustang event celebrates its 10th anniversary.
Since its debut in 2017, Ponies in the Smokies has grown into a must-attend event for Ford Mustang owners and automotive enthusiasts from across the country. The week brings together classic, modern, restored, and customized Mustangs for an action-packed celebration spread across multiple venues in the Smoky Mountains.
Seven Days of Mustang Fun in the Smokies
Ponies in the Smokies offers much more than a traditional car show. The week combines driving experiences, competitions, social gatherings, scenic cruises, vendors, and opportunities to see an incredible collection of Mustangs.
One of the signature experiences is the Shine Run, a multi-day, self-paced journey that sends participants to stops throughout the area while providing plenty of opportunities to enjoy the mountain roads and scenery.
Other event highlights are expected to include driving experiences, autocross, drag racing, cruise-ins, the King of the Smokies competition, vendor displays, special vehicle exhibits, and the massive two-day Ponies in the Smokies Car Show at the Sevierville Convention Center.
The indoor show alone features 108,000 square feet of space filled with vendors, special displays, and Mustangs. In 2026, Ponies in the Smokies welcomed more than 1,100 registered show cars and attendees from across the country, setting the stage for an even bigger 10th-anniversary celebration in 2027.
