The check-in was seamless and the service was prompt--especially given that the say was during Thanksgiving. We had a problem with Spectrum cable service during our stay. The cabin rental service did their best to address it, but the problem was with Spectrum, not the cabin wifi.

Had a wonderful week with our family with a great mix of activities and relaxation. The house had lots of places to spread out, and also be together. We enjoyed using the pool, basketball and pickle ball which were really close to the house.

We stayed here mid-May and it was everything we imagined it would be by looking at the pictures. Yes, the firepit area looks just like the picture. Yes, the view from the deck looks just like the picture. Yes to the bathroom, yes to the pool table, yes to the kitchen. Yes to all of it!! I always hold my breath when I book a rental based on pictures. Bear Mountain Chalet met my expectations on every point.

I loved that there was plenty of relatively flat parking for our four cars and an easy driveway to navigate. The neighborhood was super quiet although on Saturday night we did hear a group at a neighboring property. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. Wifi worked well. My family has already asked to come back, and I would happily book this property again.

Loved the location, can be a little confusing driving in the mountains. The first day we saw a black bear at the end of the street. Loved the house. The only thing I would say is the wood floors made so much noise when walking on them and it would disturb the people down stairs. But the house had nice fire places and a pool table. The view from the house was breath taking. Loved the master shower with multiple heads. Need lock on master bedroom door.

April and Matt provided more than I could have imagined. It was the most beautiful home with everything we could have imagined needing. While we ventured out into Gaitlinburg and pigeon forge, we could have happily stayed at the cabin our entire stay with more than enough to do for entertainment. Matt was quick to respond with anything I sent to him and we even had multiple days where we enjoyed watching a bear from the upper deck. I would highly recommend this host and cabin and look forward to booking with them in the future.

We had such an amazing stay! The house is spectacular and we found the location to be great. Very close to everything we wanted to do in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Upon arrival the house was clean (note, we have very high standards and almost always reclean everything, but did not need to). The beds were comfortable, and the entire home is well cared for. We did have one issue where the Doors to the Jack and Jill bathroom kept sliding open as the tract seemed off. We called the property management company and someone came out the same day and repaired it. Absolutely not a single complaint here. Would rent this home again!!!

Beautiful cabin. Nice long, winding road up through the mountains. The cabin is surrounded by other cabins but you're tucked away enough to barely notice them. Less than 10 minutes to the nearest store, about 15 from Gatlinburg and maybe 20 from Pigeon Forge. Perfect location. Inside was clean, no complaints on that at all. Needs a little maintenance, some nails sticking up a bit out of the deck and the hottub needs a new cover. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen is provided. The room on the ground floor is loud, you hear everything going on upstairs. We had a lot of fun and made a lot of memories! We saw black bears nearly every night a few minutes away from the cabin!

I reserved this cabin for my family to come together to celebrate my “BIG” birthday. It was the perfect setting for my family. My daughter, son-in-law and two boys settled in the loft area.
The boys (9 & 12 years) loved their enclosed cabin beds. The parents had plenty of room in their king-size room. After a full day of Dollywood those beds were a welcomed sight.
I loved the primary suite on the main floor with the large soaking tub and unbelievable shower unit. The open kitchen area allowed several people to work together to prepare our tailgate for the UT game on Saturday.
My son and daughter-in-love from Seattle, had the bottom, entry level space. We all hung out in this area watching a ballgame on Sunday.
The outside areas were spectacular. Rocking chairs & the fire pit area were so inviting.
We all agree that 3 days were not nearly enough for to fully enjoy the cabin. We used the Dollywood pass included in our rental. We would love to have taken advantage of more activities but our schedule was packed.
I hope to return to this property soon.

First let me say the cabin was beautiful and clean in a scenic view of the mountains. A little difficult to find due to all the twists and turns but not bad. When we arrived we noticed a bear left us a present by the ground level door. We tried to be conscious of this but one time leaving our SUV door unlocked but closed for only 20 minutes the bear entered the drivers side and helped him(her)self with about 25 mints inside the console. The wrappers were left on the ground outside. Minor damage inside. We didn't see the bear as we were inside eating lunch. We had no other encounter and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cabin. We went to Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge and had a fun time hiking, riding rides, shopping and eating at different restaurants. The weather was cool compared to Florida for August. I would recommend this cabin for anyone wanting to visit the area and stay in a clean cabin with plenty of amenities to offer.

We had a great experience at Bear Mountain Chalet. The Cabin was extremely nice and clean. The outdoor firepit area is the perfect spot to relax with friends or family. Beds were comfortable, appliances worked great, grill worked. . . I could just keep going. We felt extremely comfortable and in the mountains all at the same time - we even had a bear visit us on the patio one evening!

Plenty of room, the property description was accurate, firepit was great. Very close to attractions in both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We used several of the free attraction tickets. The downstairs game room area was large and there was plenty of porch furniture allowing us to watch two bears for nearly three hours from the comfort of our porch.
