The cabin was beautiful and in a perfect location, but there are definitely needed improvements. We could tell the cabin was new, but it still needed some more cleaning and improvements. There were dead bugs in the stairwells, a very loud, constant, high-pitched sound that we could never figure out where it was coming from. The sound was really loud in the kitchen, but could be heard in some bedrooms. This would have to be my biggest complaint. It became very annoying as the week went on. The pool was not clean when we first arrived, but when we contacted the number given to us, a pool person came and had the pool cleaned, and ready to swim in no time. The baseboards throughout the house were very dusty and dirty, and there was some hair from a past guest in the bathrooms. In the bedroom with the bunk beds, the door would not close because the bed was too big and blocked the door from closing. In the bedroom I stayed in, the bathroom door would not close because the door was too big for the door frame. So it felt like there was little privacy while using the restroom or showering. We did enjoy our stay and were looking to come back, but the price was way too high, and I would not stay again for the price that it is now listed for.

Manager's Response

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the maintenance items these have been handled. We slightly moved the bunk bed and we repositioned the bathroom door so both would close. The whistle that you heard was coming from style of hvac vents that were used. The sound was VERY faint for everyone that tried to find this but we had one person that could locate the issue. Our housekeeping team has been given some additional notes to ensure the best possible experience.
