My husband and I have stayed in Gatlinburg annually for the last four years and everytime it just keeps getting better. But after staying at “Smokey Mountain High,” I am officially spoiled and will no longer accept anything other than waking up to the perfect Smokey Mountains in the backyard. The cabin itself was very clean, open yet cozy and comfy. But that view- OMG! It felt like my husband and I had the whole mountains to ourselves, and did I mention how gorgeous the view is?
This was our second time also having the benefit of the xplorie app. Saved so much money on activities and gave us ideas for stuff we wouldn’t normally do. Will continue only booking through bear tracts as the process itself has been seamless both times, the benefit of the xplorie app AND will likely only be staying at Smokey Mountain High (unless we can find another one with a similar view ;)) Thanks so much once again for another fantastic stay.

We had a wonderful stay! The cabin was spotless and very well-kept, which made it feel so comfortable and relaxing. The location was perfectclose to everything we wanted to do while still feeling private and peaceful. Communication with the host was excellent, quick, and super helpful. If you want to see a bear this is the spot for you!This cabin was in a great location with easy access to the things we did each day. The kids loved the game room and the views were pretty to wake up to each day. We did have a bear get in the car the second night we were there and tear the head liner up on our vehicle but there were specific instructions about keeping the vehicles locked and I forgot one night. That was on me. The hot tub there was a little outdated but overall we really enjoyed our time there and made some great unforgettable memories! I would recommend this cabin for the perfect getaway. We had such a great stay at Smoky Mountain High. The cabin was fantastic. One thing that is always hit or miss is the beds. It's hard to have a great vacation when you don't have a good night's sleep. Well let me assure you, the beds here are comfortable. The cabin had everything we needed and more. The only issue I ran into was that the coffee maker must have been new and uses cone filter, so I had the wrong kind of filter to make coffee, but I made it work. I loved sitting out on the balcony deck with my morning coffee and book. We used the hot tub tons, and it was wonderful. It got quite murky toward the end of our stay, and we didn't know there were chemicals we could have added ourselves, that would have been nice to know. We saw bears a couple of times, and that was a fun experience, except for my kids at the time who were in the car with the doors open when we were loading to leave. It's a fun story now! If you are even thinking about this cabin, don't hesitate, book it now. It's a great cabin, and a great location. There is a nice pool on the property as well. It was one of the must haves for my family, and it didn't disappoint. There were just a couple of issues with the cabin that we were able to get fixed, and as things arose, I just texted and they were prompt in their reply and remedy. One thing that was disappointing was that the air hockey pucks were cheap pieces of plastic the flew off the table every time we tried to play. One of the reasons I books this specific cabin was for the game room and air hockey table, so not being able to use that was a bit of a bummer. The wooden kitchen table as also very sticky despite us cleaning it as well as we could. We did notice that at a restaurant too, so maybe it's just how it is in the mountains; I give the general condition of the property 4.5 stars, 5 rounded up. I did address the hockey pucks already, so hopefully they get new ones for the next family. We would definitely come here again.

My family of four stayed in this cabin for four days and five nights, and it truly felt like a home away from home. The cabin was beautiful, well-maintained, and fully stocked with everything we needed, from soft linens to a fully equipped kitchen. The views from the balconies were stunning, and we spent hours in the game room playing pool and air hockey. We also enjoyed a few relaxing visits to the nearby pool, which was 3–4 feet deep, just right for younger kids.

One of the highlights of our stay was spotting a mama bear and her three cubs right outside—a magical experience and a good reminder to keep cars locked and food put away!

Any critiques I have are minor and wouldn’t affect my 5-star rating. One of the shower curtains had a bit of mold at the bottom and could’ve used replacing, but it wasn’t a big deal. The TVs had cable, but the interface was very slow to navigate. My biggest challenge was the extra-long door code. It was hard to memorize, and since the door locks automatically, I got locked out a couple of times. Thankfully, never when the bear was around!

We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others without hesitation.

What a great experience from booking to check-out! The cabin was very modern, clean, comfortable and spacious! There were so many amenities! We had the best view of the mountains and enjoyed sitting on the balcony each morning we were there! We loved the pool table, air hockey and arcade games and enjoyed a few of the free attractions. The location was great -- close enough to all the fun in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but a little off the beaten path where it was so quiet and peaceful! We would highly recommend this cabin to anyone and hope to return again!

My husband and I decided to take a trip several days before Christmas instead of exchanging gifts. I’m so glad we picked SMOKY MOUNTAIN HIGH with Bear Tracts Rentals (through VRBO)—it was a very clean and comfortable cabin with AMAZING views!

We wanted a cabin that was easy to get to incase of inclement weather so we wouldn’t have to worry about navigating treacherous roads.

We would most definitely stay at a Bear Tracts rental again. Customer service was top notch and any questions were answered very quickly. They even let us check in one night early and the additional charge was comparable to our average booking rate.

Amazing views! Bears would walk by nightly!

Our cabin was just as describe, it was beautiful and The mountain views were amazing! Cabin was cleaned and stocked well. Bears are in the area as we seen them almost nightly walking down the road, keep your vehicle locked and no food in them cause they are curious bears and like to check out the vehicles we had paw prints on our truck from them looking in the windows and trying to open doors. We loved cabin and would definitely stay here again!

Our family of 4 enjoyed our time here. On our last night we had a water leak issue, which stopped pretty quick on its own, but I did call maintenance and they were easy to deal with, even in middle of the night.
Didnt have a spatula for on grill. Making burgers was a challenge, but we made it thru with the grill tools offered. Comfy beds. Comfy furniture. Great view!

Fabulous house in an excellent location! Was very clean and had all the essentials needed for our family of 6. Loved the porches and the view. Beds and pillows were also very comfortable. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the washer and dryer since it only holds around 3 towels at a time.
We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was very clean, spacious, and had amazing views of the mountains. We got a lot of use out of the game room and hot was also a very easy drive to reach the cabin which is not the case with a lot of mountain properties. A few favorite activities during our trip was going to Activate( highly recommend), Gatlin's, and we drove up to Clingman's Dome. The views on the way up to Clingman's Dome were absolutely breathtaking! We can't wait to go back and stay in this cabin again.

My family stayed a week and loved it so much that we added in an extra night and skipped our night in Nashville. Plenty of room for our family of 4 with each kid having their own space. The kids loved the game room, and we loved the views. Cabin has everything we needed and more. Location was perfect. Easy access to Smoky Mountain Natl Park, Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. Close to City Hall to park free and take trolley into Gatlinburg. Restaurants, mini golf and mountain coasters nearby. Not far from Dollywood either. Hot tub was great after long days of sightseeing and hiking. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

First time staying in a cabin and it was amazing. Everything was as expected, a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations made an even nicer touch. A few housekeeping issues but management was made aware and handled it. I will definitely be booking again for our next trip.

This cabin was absolutely wonderful for our stay in Gatlinburg/the Smoky Mountains. We spent Thanksgiving here, and the kitchen was well equipped for us to make a wonderful holiday dinner. The beds were comfortable and we loved playing pool and the arcade games. The location of the cabin was perfect-close enough to drive into Gatlinburg but far enough away to enjoy a beautiful view of the mountains and enjoy nature. We were even able to enjoy seeing a black bear in the distance:) Enjoyed many area activities also-the shops/strip in Gatlinburg, a great dinner at Cherokee Grill & Steakhouse, and a fantastic day at Dollywood enjoying the rides and gorgeous Christmas lights! The free activity ticket per day was also nice to get. The property management company was great and easy to communicate with. We definitely recommend the Smoky Mountain High cabin for your stay.

Fantastic Cabin! The cabin was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed to have a memorable Thanksgiving weekend! We made a traditional turkey dinner, and the kitchen had all we needed for that (we did bring a foil roaster pan for the turkey itself:) The views were absolutely beautiful too! We really enjoyed playing pool and the arcade games. Everything worked perfectly so we did not have to contact the office for anything~we just got to relax and enjoy the property:) We had a great time at Dollywood, the local Christmas gift shop, and the strip in Gatlinburg. We had a wonderful dinner at Cherokee Grill & Steakhouse also. It was an overall great vacation-highly recommend Smoky Mountain High for your stay in Gatlinburg!!

My family and friends stayed in Smoky Mountain High and absolutely adored the house. The house was clean, updated, has arcade games/table games in the lower level, a hot tub and plenty of room to sleep 10 people (2 pull out beds big enough for 3 kids, granted they are not all teens) The outside view is spectacular. You have 2 levels that include 2 decks (1 equipped with a hottub and the other a propane grill) and are in the mountains looking out to nothing but beautiful trees and mountainside. It is secluded enough for an easy drive to the city scape but the privacy of being "home" with great views and very peaceful. This cabin is much bigger than it appears in the picture. I would 100% stay here again and I know our friends would as well!!!

This home had everything we were looking for. The view was AMAZING. Two large bedrooms. Video Games, Golden Tee Golf, Pool, Air Hockey to have fun. A nice hot tub to relax. Plenty of room in the kitchen and living room. And a location near the activities at Dollywood and Anakeesta. We were very satisfied.

We truly loved the cabin, Smoky Mountain High! The kids loved all the amenities downstairs. The hot tub was very comfortable along with the bed upstairs in the master bedroom. The view from the upstairs balcony was every bit as beautiful as the pictures in the internet. We really enjoyed the week in this Gatlinburg cabin! Can’t beat the 4 minute drive to downtown! We would definitely come again!!!

1st off this was our first visit to the Gatlinburg / Pigeon Forge area and it was a amazing. At 1st I was skeptical about online rentals, because many times in the past, what you see online and pay for is not what you get....but this was not the case with Bear Tracts Vacation Rentals. The excitement on my two kids faces said it all, they were shocked and super excited to spend the week here. As for me, I was relieved that I made a 5 star choice by renting a cabin through Bear Tracts. Great View, super clean cabin with ample extras of everything you need. Amazing time and our family will come back.
